Rebuilding a Blazer Valve

(Air leaks out of the barrel)

NOTE: If your marker is under a year old DO NOT perform this procedure. You WILL void your warranty. If you do not understand how to remove the valve after reading this, then you should not be working on your marker. Have a Pro do it right.

Required Tools:

Small Flat Head Screwdriver

3/16 & 1/8  allen wrench  or complete set.

Long wooden dowel (anything long enough to slide the valve back into the body)

Large towel or rag ( used for workspace and catching small screws)

Remove the frame:

Removing the frame will not change the timing or function of the marker. Leave the grips on the frame.

1. Remove both front and rear screws holding the frame to the chassis.

2. Remove the frame, brass sear plunger, switch rod and spring. Warning: Parts will fall out of the frame when removed (clean and re-insert back into the frame)

3. Slide the velocity adjuster, spring guide, spring and hammer out of the lower tube.

4. Clean hammer assembly and put off to the side.

Remove Valve Assembly:

Be sure there is NO PRESSURE inside of the gun.

1. Pull the ram shaft/ P-bock to line the cocking lug up with the vertical slot.

2. Rotate the P-block counter-clockwise guiding the lug up into the slot. This will pull the lug out of the way so the valve guide can slide out.

3. Remove the Air Passage/Valve Retaining Screw from the under side of the chassis. (only visible if the frame is removed)

4. The valve guide should slide out if your lucky. If not, use the small screwdriver to pry out the valve. (The valve guide has a little groove around the outer ring and is used to pry out the guide) The guide, spring , and dyna valve will slide out.

5. The valve guide is made of solid brass and can be repaired with some elbow grease and fine steel wool. Get a small piece of steel wool and polish the seat of the guide (place the seat of the guide directly into the wool. Now with several firm twist of the wrist most of the scratches and dents will come out)

Oil and reverse steps for re-assembly. The ported side of the valve goes toward the barrel.

P.S. If you do not know how to rebuild a Blazer valve after reading this, then you should not be messing with it. Professional repairs are always recommended.
